Essential Myanmar (Yangon – Bagan – Inle Lake) 7 days/ 6 nights from 18 Oct – 24 Oct 2014
Zaw was fine, but Mr. Aye in Bagan and Naung Naung at Inle Lake were truly fantastic guides!! Mr. Aye is incredibly knowledgeable and he has excellent English. Naung Naung was the perfect guide knowledgeable, attentive, engaging and fun! She made our trip to Inle Lake so special.
The driver we had in Inle Lake was especially great very careful. All the drivers were very courteous.
We had a fantastic time! Thank you so much!

Dear Mr Ha
Thank you for your email. We had a safe journey back and would sincerely like to thank you and your team for making our stay in Myanmar so wonderful. We enjoyed our trip very much and would definitely like to visit the country again one day to see more. We would also like to thank you for your response to our stay at the East Hotel, we sincerely appreciate your actions and Ms Nway Nway Eai coming to meet us in person to settle the matter. I unfortunately forgot to hand our feedback form to Mr Naing Zaw, but I have attached it in this email, and as you will see, we would definitely recommend Myanmar Travel to anybody visiting the country as we had a most pleasurable experience travelling with your company.
In addition, we would specially like to thank Mrs Nang Thein May (Joyce). Although she ended up as our tour guide by accident, we felt very lucky to have her. All three of our tour guides were great, but she really took it to another level. Her knowledge of the Inle region, the legends and stories, her restaurant recommendations (especially the Shan noodles which we had by Heho airport), her hospitality and level of professionalism are quite extraordinary! She was even willing to get up in the middle of the night just to come and see the Festival of Lights with us on Lake Inle early in the morning. She is superb and I would highly recommend her to anybody visiting the region!
Thank you again for all your efforts and for making our stay in Myanmar so memorable. We hope to return one day!
Best regards

From Bagan to Angkor Wat (Yangon – Bagan – Mandalay – Inle Lake – Angkor Wat) 13 days/ 12 nights from 28 Sep – 10 Oct 2014
Dear Mr. Ha Hieu,
Please forgive me for taking so long to write you but, finally we spent some days in Bangkok and it’s just yesterday that we’ve arrived to San Sebastian.
I would like to thank you for all your attentions and arrangements during our trip. It’s been a wonderful vacation and everything has been perfectly arranged, the guides, hotels… the whole of it.
If I was to change anything it would be the hotel at Seam Reap, which clearly didn’t have the same category as the others and the guide at Inle lake who showed to be a little lazy. But the rest was just perfect.
Thanks to your work, we shall always remember this wonderful trip.
Best regards

Myanmar Discovery (Mandalay – Bagan – Inle Lake – Yangon) 13 days/ 12 nights from 5 Sep to 17 Sep)
We loved our trip to Myanmar, what an amazing country. The only hotel that we didn't like terrible was the Kandawgyi Palace, but this was because the rooms were very damp and caused us to have chest coughs. We reviewed the hotel on trip advisor but did not mention Myanmar travel. We loved every other aspect of our trip. Thank you for putting this together.

Dear Ms Nway Nway,
I would like to thank you and Myanmar Travel for an excellent travel experience during our 11 day holiday to Myanmar (24 April to 4 May 2014) .
The organisation and quality of your tour guides, drivers and selection of hotels was excellent! We will definitely recommend Myanmar travel to anyone wanting to travel to this wonderful country.
I especially want to thank you and Ms Myo for coming out to meet us at Yangon airport on a public holiday to explain the flight situation to Negapali - This was above our expectations in terms of service. Fortunately we were able to make all our flights and final connections to South Africa via Bangkok.
Overall it was a wonderful holiday experience thanks to Myanmar Travel.

Myanmar discovery 14 Feb – 27 Feb 2014
Dear Mr. Hoang
Please find attached our end of tour report on Discover Burma Special as requested, which is being posted to your Yangon office under a separate cover by mail. May I take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to each and every member of your staff responsible for organising and the execution of a thoroughly enjoyable tour. We would particularly like to thank Ms Hue Nguyen for her prompt response to my emails and amendments to our itinerary as requested and to Ms Nway Nway in your Yangon office to take time off work specially to help my wife with her shopping in Yangon. We were particularly interested in the Dargah of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last King of India who died in1862 , exiled in Yangon by British for allegedly involved in India’s first revolt against British colonial rule. In all probability I expect the President of India to visit his grave in Yangon on his forthcoming official visit to Myanmar.
I have no hesitation in recommending your Company to individuals seeking individualised guided tour of Myanmar without being charged unreasonable costs or being choked with Pagoda fatigue. Our itinerary was well balanced and I strongly recommend the same to others unless they have personal preferences. I have made some suggestions and comments in my report for your consideration. Should you desire further clarification on any of my comments, please do advise.
Yours sincerely
Tour Guides:
Yangon – Ko Than M. Tan & Win Soe
Bagan – Yan Niang Win
Inle Lake – Ka Ye
Mandalay – Phoo Pyae Tin Win
Pyin Oo Lwin – Phoo Pyae Tin Win
Kyaukmw – Phoo P Tin Win
Monywa – Thar Kyaw
1. Tour Guide at Inle Lake Mr. Ya Ke was outstanding with his local knowledge, courteous behavior, general helpfulness, patience and command of English language & communication.
2. Our Tour guide in Mandalay/Pyin Oo Lwin & Kyaukme , Ms Phoo Paye , is a very sweet girl although bit shy. Had good local knowledge and was willing to do more than was expected of her in the line of her duty. She was very accommodating to our requirements. Willing to learn & discover for us any information not immediately available to her. Always smartly dressed with an ever-lasting smile on her face. My wife became very fond of her. She qualified as a tour guide less than 4 months ago and we think she will gain in confidence in future & will become an excellent tour guide. We had slight problem initially with her accent but soon learnt to understand her.
3. Our guide in Monywa, Mr. Thar Kyaw, was very confident of himself with many years of experience as a travel guide with English speaking clients. Good knowledge all round knowledge & we enjoyed his company. One of the best guides on our tour.
4. Tour Guide in Bagan, Mr. Tan Win, was good and covered all the important sites we were interested in. Was very helpful in assisting us climb Mount Popa (Taung Kalat) at our age. Willing to learn from us about Hinduism & about Hindu idols worshiped as Nats in Popa.
5. We had 2 tour guides in Yangon. The first guide was Mr. Ko Than Tan who spoke good English but we were put off with his mannerism & dress code. We conveyed our displeasure about him to Ms. Nway Nway of your company who replaced him next morning & volunteered to accompany us on our return to Yangon before departure. For it we are obliged to Myanmar Travel. We appreciate Ms. Nway Nway’s help in shopping & places of interest to us in Yangon.
Comments.
We were very pleased with the overall quality of services provided by Myanmar Travel. The itinerary & choice of hotels was good. The vehicles were clean & met our approval with safe drivers. It was never too much for Company to comply with our requirements and last minute changes. Well-groomed & well attired guides with pleasing mannerism. Very polite, courteous & helpful staff & guides with overall good local knowledge and reasonable command of English language. It was arranged as a private tour to meet our requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & travel in Myanmar and have no hesitation in recommending Myanmar Travel Company to others seeking a reliable tour operator with competitive pricing. The highlight of the tour is a visit to lake Inle and rail journey from Pyin Oo Lwin to Kyaukme over Gokteik via- duct.
Recommendations.
Customers wising to travel by train from Pyin Oo Lwin to Kyaukme to view Gokteik railway bridge should be advised to return back by car after the rail journey for an over night stay in Pyin O Lwin instead of Kyaukme. Road journey takes no more than 3-4 hours drive. Hotel accommodation at Kyaukme is suitable for those wishing an adventurous life style. There is nothing to see in Kyaukme . We had a very uncomfortable stay at the only guesthouse available. Accommodation is substandard, no running hot water, walls covered with cobwebs, no toilet paper or soap for hand wash on arrival and walls stained where mosquitoes had been overpowered by humans. There is TV in rooms with only one channel working with poor reception. Free Wi –Fi available if you are prepared to sit in the reception area sharing limited space with other guests busy organizing trekking with local guides. Do not expect have high level of service and breakfast is rationed. We were lucky to be invited by a local host for home cooked dinner.

MYANMAR DISCOVERY 16 days/ 15 nights from 5 Feb 2014 – 20 Feb 2014
Dear Ms Thu Dau;
First of all I apologize for the big delay in writing to You.
Yes, we had a nice flight back to Italy. We stopped in Singapore for eight hours so we could take a look of Orchard Road and Little India and it was very nice ( last year too we stopped in Singapore and went to visit the modern part of the town, Marina Bay and the three towers over the bay ).
Thank You for all the work You did to organize perfectly our trip: everything has worked perfectly: perfect punctuality, very good organization in transfers, very good itinerary that was accurately followed. About details:
YANGOON: the hotel was good, in a very good location; for second and third night they gave us a room with view on Shwedagon Pagoda; we appreciated a lot. The guide of first two days was good and very friendly; the guide of last day was very good and very friendly too ( unfortunately I don’t remember the names; please bring our greetings to them ). Even the trip to Golden Rock Pagoda was a special one: good hotel ( simple, with all furniture, clean, very quite and relaxing ), very unusual transfer by open track, wonderful location.
INLE LAKE: it was the very special part of our trip: the location is great and the Hotel was WONDERFUL ( one of the best I’ve been ever ), but above all Nan ( I think it was the name ), the guide, was very, very good: perfect english, a lot of interesting informations, very friendly and helpful; SPECIAL MENTION FOR HER! Please bring our greetings to her too.
MANDALAY: very different from the other towns: very crowded, very dark in the night, and very dusty. The hotel is a little bit old, not up to standards of the other Hotels in which we have been; anyway the staff was very friendly and helpful ( Margherita remained locked in the bathroom because of a malfunction of the lock and four people came to solve the problem: they had to tear down the door to make her free; the day after, the door was repaired ) and the restaurant was good. Unfortunately the guide was not of the best: friendly and helpful, but it was very difficult to understand because of a bad pronounce of english. Anyway the visit was very interesting.
BAGAN: Everything all right: very good hotel ( the breakfast on the terrace over the river was amazing ), very good guide and wonderful place, where you can see unforgettable outlooks, above all in the sunset.
NGAPALI: Very Good! They gave us the room with the best view of the Hotel: on first floor just in front of the beach!!!!!! Even the Lonely Planet guide mentions this room ( 702 ) and we were very surprised and happy to have it; surely it was thank to You and Your careful work.
So it was a wonderful trip, in a very beatiful Country with very kind and upstanding people; we are completely satisfied and further sure You deserve our trust, and we are very happy You are working on the proposal of our uncle and friend Salvatore Bergamini; We really hope They will travel with You and Your Organization: They will be in good hands.
You are right, it was a pity we couldn’t meet yet, but we were very happy to get your call when we were in Bagan; maybe next time, or when You will come to Italy or Europe.
Thank You again for everything; We wish You the best things, and to realize all the wishes You have for Your life.
We’ll keep in touch.
Best regards

HIGHLIGHTS OF MYANMAR 10 days 9 nights from 5 Feb – 14 Feb 2014
Dear Hong Nguyen,
Thank you for your greetings yes we had good flights during our return to Canada earlier this week.
It was a long flight and we are still trying to recover our sleep pattern. But it did not detract from the wonderful holiday that we enjoyed. We wish to thank you, and your team at Myanmar Travel, for the contribution you all made to the success of our memorable trip. You may recall that one of my interests, and objectives, was to visit places where I was raised. Thanks to the enterprise of our Monywa guide (Win) we were able to find and spend time at the school where my father was a teacher and find the hospital in Pyin Oo Lwin where I was born.
The fact that the whole holiday went like clock-work exactly as you planned it is a credit to your organisation.
We were met promptly and graciously by all your representatives at every stage of our tour.
All the guides were excellent and well prepared for the tours we undertook at each venue. Their knowledge of the historical and cultural significance of each of the sites visited was most impressive.
The hotels that you had booked us into all provided excellent service.
The transportation provided was always comfortable and the standard of driving, in the sometimes difficult traffic, showed consideration for our personal comfort.
I hope you have already received the evaluation which we completed in Mandalay and asked the Hotel by the Red Canal to mail to you.
In summary we would not hesitate to recommend Myanmar Travel to anybody contemplating a visit to Myanmar.
Best wishes to you and your colleagues at Myanmar Travel.

Hi Binh Yen,
Everything was well organised by Ms Binh and the whole trip was perfect. The booked Ballon over Bagan trip was cancelled due to the wind direction, but with the help of our guide we could fly the following morning. Fantastic. The mixture of sightseeing, relaxing Irrawaddy-Cruise, sightseeing again and at the end the few days at Ngapali Beach was a very good. We enjoyed also the divingtrip in Ngapali. Only the boat could be much cleaner. Thanking you for the organisation of our perfect holiday, we hope to come back to Myanmar soon enough. We enjoyed the nice and friendly people, the impressive landscapes and the interesting culture. Best regards Walter and Rita von Rotz

Captivating Myanmar Journey 27 Dec 2013 – 3 Jan 2014
Dear Hue
We had a great time in Myanmar and thank you for organising the Tour for us. All tour guides were very good and helpful. They tried their best to explain to us the history of Myanmar and the stories behind many thousands of pagodas and temples. Of the four tour guided Joe (Mandalay) and Zaw (Bagan) probably were the two most knowledgeable about the history of Myanmar.
The people were very nice and helpful as well. In some places we were saddened by the standard of living and the lack of opportunities for children to get a good education and the hardships they have to go through to make living.
As you had said in one of the e-mails, Myanmar has to do a lot in terms of improving the infrastructure to attract more tourists. Although we didn't have much time in Yangon, it appears most of the development is taking place there.
Over all the trip was very good. We did have some flight delays, one nearly five hours but the staff at the airports were helpful despite communication difficulties.
I think we have covered most of Asia and our next adventure would be somewhere else.
I like to thank you in particular for organising our trip and attending to all our requests.
Best Regards

CAPTIVATING INDOCHINA: MYANMAR – CAMBODIA - LAOS 15 days from 3 Nov 2013 – 17 Nov 2013)
Our trip was well-organized and ran very smoothly.
The accommodation, guides and drivers were all generally excellent. We were grateful that the guide for Inle Lake suggested that we do a short trek. This was excellent and we would have enjoyed more (even though I wasn't well that particular day, and the guide looked after me very well). Perhaps we didn't need to spend a night both at Pindaya and at Kalaw - they could have been done in one day. We would like to go to more remote areas next time and also perhaps have some relaxation by the beach!
Thank you for introducing us to your fascinating country.

GRAND MYANMAR JOURNEY 23 days from 2 Nov 2013 – 24 Nov 2013)
Dear,
Our Myanmar trip was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful country and the most friendly people I've ever met! Personally, as the tour was very intense (often we had to get up early) I would have swapped the excursion Pwin oo Lwin for an extra 2 days at the beach. This also because we had the opportunity to spot English cottages on our way to Inly lake. The venue of the Andaman resort was really amazing. The most beautiful beach and sea I've ever seen, but the resort itself was by far overpriced (as they've charged the prices as on their site) for the accommodation available.
Thank you!

MYANMAR DISCOVERY 16 days (from 9 Oct 2013 – 24 Oct 2013)
Dear Jack Tchen,
1: Yangon: Savoy hotel was excellent, (booked by ourselves). Excellent tour guide, very good driver.
2: Inle lake: Good hotel, excellent tour guide, good driver. We liked that girl guide very much, very charming.
3: Mandalay: Average hotel, excellent tour guide, very charming. Good driver.
4: Bagan: Good hotel, but the service was poor. Instead of waiting for a good tip, they tried to cheat us of money all the time.Which upset us,so usually quite generous, we did´t leave any money. The tour guide knew a lot about Bagan, but his English was so poor we could hardly understand a word. And we are quite used to different ways of speaking. Good driver.
5: Sandoway resort: Excellent hotel, excellent food at the restaurant, perfect service, wonderful beach.
6: The Strand hotel. ( booked by ourselves) Excellent hotel, we had a fantastic dinner there. Wonderful service.
All the guides were very accomodating, when we changed the programs to what we wanted to do.
At all arriving and departing points the drivers was in time to pick us up. Very good service.
We had a great tour around Myanmar, and has seen a lot and learnt a lot about the country. And we are deeply impressed. We do hope that the changes in politics, that now has begun, will continue, for the prosperity and freedom of the people.
Thank you for the arrangements of this tour. We are very satisfied with it and will surely recommend you to someone going to Myanmar in the future.
Best wishes

Thank you again for your excellent service both before and during the trip!
You responded quickly to any questions I had and the service was excellent. During the trip, the guide in Bagan was excellent and we also enjoyed our guide at Inle Lake. Unfortunately the guide in Yangon was quite difficult to communicate with and also we thought he wasn't as knowledgeable as the previous two. (By the way, we had two different guides in Yangon on day one and day two). But both guides were very friendly and professional, just not as knowledgeable, we thought, and their English was so-so.
Overall we had a wonderful trip!

From Angkor Wat to Bagan 12 May 2013 – 25 May 2013
Our trip was wonderful and beautifully developed by Mr. Anh. Everyone took great care of us, the accommodations were great and we were warmly welcomed everywhere. My only recommendation is that if someone is visiting Inle Lake, the person that greets them at the Heho airport (it wasn't the guide) recommends that they change money at the airport. It's hard to get Kyat anywhere else at Inle Lake.
Thank you for an unforgettable vacation.

Hi Jack,
I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Myanmar and to thank you for organizing everything so smoothly for us. We were so impressed by the country we are already planning our return!
Thank you for your patience with our constantly changing schedule. The guides were on the whole very good and knowledgeable, the flights all left on time and arrived on time (if not early - better than most international flights we have been on!) and everyone was there to meet us as arranged. The mini buses were very spacious and comfortable, with water & welcome cool towels supplied, and the excellent drivers made us feel very safe. Accommodation in Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake was of a good standard and the Hotel 7 Mile was fine for a short overnight stay - I would not recommend it for any longer stay, as it is a way out of town and very basic, with no facilities.
Thanks again, we will be recommending you to our numerous friends who are all keen to travel to Burma after hearing our stories and seeing the incredible photos!
Best regards,

Dear Trang Vu,
We would like to thank you personally for the wonderful job you did ahead of our journey to your beautiful country! The program you made for us was excellent - every bits and pieces of it - and the reason why we had an lovely vacation that we would never forget. We just loved it! Also, all the excellent guides that we met from your agency contributed to that! In fact, we were wondering if you could send us name and e-mail addresses to all our guides so we could send them our greetings from Norway.
We will recommend your agency and beautiful country to all the travelers we know!

Dear Jack,
Review of your excellent service along our Myanmar (11 days) & Indochina grand tour (43 days) of total 54 days!!!
It is a pleasure to tell you how much we enjoyed our Indochina experience due to your excellent service.
I was careful to start(as a pilot plan) with Myanmar!
It took no time for me to be sure that we have found the way to work together building both understanding & trust!
Although I presented you a detailed Itinerary for the whole duration with no compliance with your standard itineraries, you were cooperative & understanding keeping in touch along the planning in an admired way.
I have told you that out of precaution I asked Asian Trails to offer the same ... they failed to do it!!!
I have to praise your leading motivating & controlling your colleagues & the many guides in your local offices along the itinerary (Myanmar, Laos, North & South Vietnam & Cambodia) while keeping an open line for me if I had any problem requiring your attention.
Meeting Carmela & me in Hanoi for lunch to give me a mobile phone to use all over Vietnam to assure personal communication was really "out of the line of duty" I know & I have put it forward ... that i was a tough client who knew what he wants & made sure I get it & Carmela needed special attention & comfort using her Crutch ... although coping with all challenges like the golden Rock & Mt Popa in Myanmar, through the Valley of Jars & Phonsavan to Dien Bien Phu along Routes 13N & 12N (under heavy works) to Sa Pa Bac Ha on the Chinese border.
There is no way that in such a long & demanding itinerary ( in the top season of National & new year Holidays) will not be some problems or changes required ... Yet, your inherent readiness to help & ability react immediately with constructive solutions, is remarkable.

Dear Jack,
I could go on & on without exaggerating ...
Yet it is time to wrap up thanking you & your company who lets you conduct the business this way ...
We really felt that you followed the saying : The customer first!
Although we thanked personally all the wonderful helpful & knowledgeable guides & drivers, along the way please convey them our gratitude ... We did our best to adjust to their English ...
You may be sure that our presentation of the trip to everyone, includes always the best compliments & recommendations to you & your company.
Keep on ...
We meant it when we invited you to visit us in Israel ...
We will be happy to show you around with care ...
Have a successful (snake)year
Yours,
David & Carmela from Israel
From Yangon to Bagan - 7th – 10th Jan 2013
Dear Ms Trang,
Sorry for the delayed reply buy I wanted to have enough time for response correctly you.
We are still enjoying our trip although we returned to home 3 weeks ago!! We really fell in love with Myanmar and specialy Bagan.
We are very sure we took a good decision in got a tour with you. Our tourists guide were awesome and enjoyed the time we send time with them, they cared for us in every details our stayed in Myanmar. We felt safe with them in a country we couldn´t communicate at all.
Just one thing, Myanmar is a poor country and all service are very cheap, and your tour was too expensive if we compare the costs you had for this job v/s you charge us for this tour, I think it was too much.
We doesn't have any negative comment for you, your office or tourists guides!! just thanks a lot
I hope you have a very good time
Thank you & Best regards,
Maria Francisca Aguilera Roubillard from Chile

Best of Myanmar - 03 Feb – 13 Feb 2013

Dear Ms Trang,
Thank you kindly for organizing a very interesting trip in short notice. My wife and myself enjoyed the Myanmar history and buddhism exposure immensely, and we found the experience very interesting and educational. The guides were well informed, and were very helpful and accommodating; we had only minor communications problems with them. The hotels were nice with high western standards. We will definitely recommend your Agency service to our friends. Our sincere thanks and best regards,

Hotel and Flight booking - 9 Feb – 15 Feb 2013
Dear Ms Vu
Our trip was very nice we loved Myanmar and your service were perfect.
One point for the hotel at the lake. the service there was not ok the staff was very slow and they could not speak english well. For 2 times they forgot to take our food order and because there were not other place to go for 2 times we wait for almost 2 hours to eat something. Bagan was perfect and also the flight ticket organization.
Now we like so much that we are thinking to come back soon
thanks

BEST OF MYANMAR from 9 Feb 2013 – 18 Feb 2013
Dear Jack and the team at Myanmar Travel!
We had an amazing trip to Myanmar and really loved seeing the different areas in Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Lake Inle and learned so much about the local culture and traditions. The tour guides were all extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful and brought the different sights very much to life for us. The organisation of the trip was perfect, everything worked well and according to plan, the tour guides were there at the airport waiting for us, the cars were ready and the hotels booked. Some of the domestic flights were delayed by about 30 minutes which wasn't a problem and sort of to be expected. The tour guides were flexible and adapted the schedule according to our wishes when we wanted to spend a bit more time in one place. Their restaurant recommendations were often very good. One of the highlights was our stay at the Buddhist Education Centre which was so special and we felt very privileged to get an insight into the life of the monks and the nuns at a nearby nonnery. Dr Kumara, the rector of the Monastery, was very kind and spend a lot of his time showing us around the campus and the nearby Saigang area and explaining about the Buddhist traditions and their religion. We learned so much from this visit and will remember it for ever. In Mandalay we discovered a very good western restaurant, Cafe City, just outside the Palace near the East gate, which you should recommend to other travelers as well. Hotel Mandalay was our least favourite hotel. It was clean and tidy, however, the rooms were close to a major road with trucks hooting at night and there was also a guard with a telephone on the corridor which was ringing throughout the night. We would have preferred a different hotel with a nicer atmosphere. The other hotels were all fine with decent food. Dinner at the Conqueror Resort hotel was probably the best out of the different hotels. The boat journey from Mandalay to Bagan took 13 1/2 hours, quite a bit longer than the 11 hours mentioned in our book. The food on the boat was pretty terrible, but luckily our guide had recommended to bring some food for the journey so we were ok. Just the last 2 hours felt a bit long, otherwise it was fine and the captain seemed very skillful steering the boat in between the sandbanks. We really loved the journey upriver and seeing the different villages along the banks. The reason why we gave Miu, our guide in Pindaya, a slightly lower mark was that he didn't volunteer much information in the cave pagoda. At Lake Inle he was much more knowledgeable and he was always so kind with the workers in the different workshops. All our guides made this a wonderful experience for us and were very kind with us and our children. We were very impressed by how friendly the people are in Myanmar. Thank you for organising a fantastic holiday for us,

Myanmar Photography tour 17 Jan – 1 Feb 2013
Dear Ms. Nguyen,
I must apologize for not writing to thank you earlier, but I have been preoccupied editing the several thousand wonderful photos we took in Myanmar. The trip was wonderful! You companies services were absolutely perfect, as your services were as well. We are experienced travelers and I must say that our experience with you was the best we have found. Your professionalism should be a model for the travel industry. I have filled out the questionnaire you sent me but I wanted to express my personal thanks from all of us on the trip for your services.
Myanmar was delightful. The people were very friendly and helpful. We all agreed that despite the rigors of travel it was the most relaxing trip we have taken. I would be very happy to provide an endorsement of your services and the delight of visiting Myanmar at any time.
Sincerely,
Irving Halper from USA
Myanmar holiday 14 Jan – 27 Jan 2013
Hello, Aung,
Thank you for a spectacular trip in Myanmar! All arrangements were excellent, and everything went beautifully. Our drivers and guides were outstanding; everyone was prompt and cheerful; and we did not have any problems with our trip at all. Also, all of your advice was very helpful.
Maureen and I especially appreciated your assistance with the money exchange and your concern for our flight confirmations and the short connection time in Yangon. It was most reassuring to know that you would be available and able to assist us if we had a problem.
As to that connection in Yangon, Air Bagan was splendid. When we boarded the flight out of Ngapali, I told the steward that we were concerned about having enough time to make our connecting flight to Bangkok. He evidently called Air Bagan in Yangon, because when we landed, there was an agent there to meet us. He immediately got our checked luggage and escorted us in a private van to the airport and then through immigration and security. He found us a taxi and rode with us to the international airport and ushered us through immigration and customs there and right up to security. This service was invaluable and we would never have made the connection without his aid. Air Bagan and everyone else concerned is to be highly commended.
Thank you for all your attention to the details of our trip. We will certainly recommend you to our friends and hope that they will have the pleasure of working with you in the future.
Cordially,
Mimi Elder & Maureen Grace
Myanmar Insight 20 Dec 2012 – 4 Jan 2013
Hi Hue
Thank you for organizing a great holiday we all enjoyed it immensely so have no hesitation in using you again or recommending you to others.
Of course everything was not perfect so a little feedback
1. We found the guide that met us at Mandalay and took us to Bagan although very attentive did not have very good English which meant we could not understand much of what she said
Her ability to put meaningful sentences together was lacking. The driver was very good in that he kept the vehicle spotless.
2. We had a schedule flight out of Ngapali I think at 10.15am which meant we left the resort at 8.45am this flight went to Yangon where we changed planes to catch the next flight to Inle Lake having to pick up our bags at Yangon. While we waited we found there was a flight from Ngapali Via Yangon to Inle lake later in the morning which had we caught would have allowed us to relax for a couple more hours at the resort and our bags would have gone straight through to Inle Lake They are the only things which could have been improved on the rest was great

Best of Myanmar 5 days 4 nights from 1 Jan 2013 ~ 5 Jan 2013
Our entire tour was perfectly organized. I must say. From the beginning to the end. We were always promptly picked up at the airport and delivered to the airports. Flights went smoothly and were on time. Hotel check ins were fast and smooth and we got the rooms we expected. Hotels we chose were really the best and we are glad we did that. The tour guides were all fluent in English, flexible to our requests and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful journey!

Grand Myanmar Journey from 27 Dec 2012 – 13 Jan 2013
Dear Jack,
Thank you for organising our recent trip to Myanmar. We had a wonderful time and were generally very happy with our itinerary, guides and accommodation.
Our trip was well-organised and ran very smoothly.

Thank you, Hue.
We're having a great Christmas. Do you have a holiday that you are celebrating this time of year also? I know the kids have holiday from school. I'm sure you are enjoying the lovely weather this time of year.
We had an absolutely fantastic trip. Everyday was so full of amazing sights and adventures. We met so many kind people and we learned so much too. We enjoyed each guide and have been telling everyone here how amazing your country is. We truly hope to return again soon.
Thank you for all that you did to make our time there special.
Praying you have a beautiful year of unexpected blessings, growth and opportunity in 2013.

Angkor Wat to Bagan 25 Nov – 12 Dec 2012
Dear Ms Nguyen,
We would like to thank you for the excellent organisation of our tour to Angkor and Myanmar. Everything was well organised, the hotels and the rooms where very good, the good english spoken guides (except one) where very interested to explain history, people, culture, landscape and the food in local street restaurants. We would like to point out that the food there was always much better than in the hotels. We returned safely to tell everybody of our wonderful travel.
With copies to Mr. Maray in Angkor and Ms Su Su in Bagan we would like to thank them directly for the very comfort they gave us as representatives of their countries. And we thank the very competent guide in Mandalay (unfortunately we do not have his co-ordinates) for his excellent views on politics and knowledge on history. All the drivers directed us safely in clean cars.
Overall, it was a great experience and we will recommend your organisation.
We wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you

Captivating Myanmar Journey 25Nov – 1 Dec 2012
Hi Jack,
All the arrangements worked like clockwork. We planned our trip at very short notice which gave rise to a few problems but nothing that Jack could not overcome. Would thoroughly recommend this travel agency to arrange another trip to Burma
(Peter Skinner)

The whole trip was excellent and well planned. I would definitely recommend a trip to Myanmar to friends. I am not sure I will visit again, simply because there are many places I haven't travelled to yet, including Vietnam.

Grand Indochina Tour 12 Nov – 29 Nov 2012
Dear Hue,
First of all I want to say that we as a whole are VERY PLEASED with the tour and all the arrangements done by you and your company. We had a few wonderful and very interesting weeks and we are impressed that everything worked out so fine - ever better than we had expected! This is the second time that I buy a tour outside of Sweden - last year I did it in Tanzania Africa - and my experience of these has just been positive. Maybe you can imagine that many things on a trip like this were unfamiliar to us but the e-mail conversation we had before we left was magnificent and you made us feel safe and secure thanks to your patience and all the answers that we got.
Special thanks for your arrangement when we arrived in Myanmar without photos - this was very well done by you!
Since I teach and have tought marketing at different universities here in Sweden I consider myself to be a very demanding customer and that makes me even happier to be so pleased even if I have some comments as below:
Regarding the guides I have written a sheet that I enclose with comments that me and my wife have agreed upon. I would though like to add that their English in general was not so good and difficult to understand so that there were some unnessary misunderstandings.
Regarding the drivers and the vehicles I am happy to say that this was very good. All the drivers were careful, did not take any chances and we felt relaxed during all the trips that we made.
The flights that you had arranged were also better than we expected since flying in Myanmar was nothing that we had any information about before. That some flights were changed was entirely up to us and thus we also paid for the extra costs.
When it comes to the hotels we found all but one very good. The so called 5-star hotel in Mandalay - Shwe Pyi Thar - was not good at all and absolutely not worth the money it cost! First of all the showers did not work and even if I told the reception this we had to sit down in the bath tub to take shower. Secondly the people in the restaurant were not very interested in serving us maybe since we were not in a big group and we did not get what we ordered. YOU SHOULD THUS NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO OTHER CUSTOMERS in our opinion.
We are thus happy to have had this tour arranged by you and we feel that it could not have been much better! Thank you very much especially to you but also the people around you that helped make this tour a very pleasant one.
To meet you in Hanoi was very nice and I really appreciated the short time we had together when you gave me fine information and also told me a little about yourself. Both me and my wife now wish you all the best and hope that you will have a fine baby at the beginning of next year. Please let me know once this has happened. Thanks again and kindest regards,
Göran and Kerstin Anderberg from Sweden
Myanmar Cruise Trip - 20 Nov – 1 Dec 2012
Hi Hong
Sorry for taking a little while to get back to you. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Myanmar and have nothing but praise for the service we received from Myanmar Travel. I would especially like to thank you for all your organisation. Everything went very smoothly and all our arrangements were as planned. We particularly liked the hotels in Inle lake and Bagan. We were also very pleased with all our guides and drivers. In particular Nelly in Yangon went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and was a fantastic guide.
In Inle lake we had two guides as unfortunately our first guides grandmother became very ill. His replacement San San was also wonderful. Our Mandalay guide (sorry don't know his real name) was very good and had a lot of knowledge and information to give us. The guide Mr Zew (I think that was his name) in Bagan while he showed us some interesting places was not very good at keeping us informed of his plans and what we were doing. We would not hesitate to book again with Myanmar Travel and will recommend your company to any of our friends planning to travel to Myanmar.
Once again thank you for all your help.

Treasure of Myanmar - 15 Nov – 25 Nov 2012. Treasure of Myanmar
Dear Ms. Hong,
You're absolutely right - we had amazing days in Myanmar and we enjoyed traveling with your company. We'd like to thank you so much for the perfect arrangement of our tour. We found all details as agreed with you. Even the tour guides in Mandalay and Bagan did very good service. We highly can recommend them and with pleasure we would enjoy the service of Myanmar Travel on further trips.
By the way as you ask our comments - the Mandalay Hill Hotel Deluxe Room doesn't really fit the Luxury category. All other rooms were to our most entire satisfaction.
We wish you and the team of Myanmar Travel all the best, all time happy guests and successful business.
Thank you again and very best regards

Myanmar Cruise Trip - 22 Oct – 9 Nov 2012.
Good Morning Hong
Thank you for your message.
We arrived home in Adelaide yesterday (Monday 19 November)and I am only now catching up on all of my emails (over 500!) so will be busy today.
On behalf of my partner, Graham Loch, and my friends, Heather Fletcher and Michael McGrath, I would like to say that we had a truly wonderful time in Myanmar. We were prepared to be amazed but the extent to which we so enjoyed our time in the country surprised us all and are just so very pleased that we decided to visit at a time when the country is emerging and being “discovered” by the world. We found the people the strongest image we will take away – the smiles, the welcoming “hellos”, the handshakes, the friendliness of the frequent question “where are you from?” and the many opportunities to meet, talk with and experience such a diverse cultural and historical perspective. There were just so many highlights it would be very difficult to isolate any but amongst our shared memories would be:
• Inle Lake (heightened by witnessing one day of the Phaung Daw OO Pagoda Festival)
• Golden Rock (where we gained a great appreciation of cultural and religious beliefs shared by families and communities – quite apart from the challenge of that loooong climb up!!)
• Yangon
Graham and I spent many hours simply walking, watching and often engaging with many people. Sipping tea at a tea house/talking to locals in their street market/eating delicious different foods from street stalls
Heather and Michael took time to ride on the Circle Train and were just amazed at the sights, sounds and the opportunity to meet/talk with so many passengers
• Bagan and the impact of a culture which has existed for so many centuries and the stories to be learnt through diverse examples of buildings and stories going back to the 9th century.
I hired a bicycle one afternoon intending to be away from the Hotel for 1-1.5hrs as it was quite hot but go so engrossed in my “discoveries” that I arrived back after 4 hours to find Graham about to send out a search party for me!!!
We do so hope the international community (UNESCO in particular) will assist Myanmar to preserve this wonderful site for future generations
• Ngapali Beach which was just stunning. Graham and I were so sorry to have only had 2.5 days here and will definitely return at some future stage
• RV Paukan – a truly marvellous time on board and a very special few days in our Myanmar visit
Just some of the many many highlights ALL of which will remain with us for a very long time courtesy of the large number of photographs we all took!!!
Hotels?
All afforded good accommodation and service but we would make special mention of Inle Lake View Resort and Hotel at Tharabar Gate both of which provided exceptional standard of accommodation and excellent staff attention.
Guides/drivers?
We are understand speaking English will vary and our expectation was not for anyone to be as fluent as we are at English speaking but not every guide was able to answer our questions/provide comprehensive information. However they were all warmly welcoming and tried their very best to ensure we enjoyed our time in each place. We were particularly impressed by San San at Inle Lake – she was just wonderful and added to our overall experience through her caring attention and local knowledge. Similarly, Naing in Yangon provided us with good attentive service and always answered our many many questions with great patience and knowledge.
Flights?
All planes were clean, well presented with attentive flight attendants however we did find that Air Bagan was seldom on time, our longest wait being 1hour.
Drivers/vehicles?
All drivers are to be commended on their safe alert driving and the standard of vehicles was quite acceptable.
May I also send special thanks to everyone in the Yangon office for the assistance in locating an alternative Yangon to Bangkok flight for our departure on Friday 9 November........without this help we would have been in great difficulty making our further connection ex Bangkok to Singapore that evening.
My personal thanks once again to you for your guidance and assistance throughout the decision/booking process and in the lead up to our departure for your patient answering of my many questions. All greatly appreciated.
Graham and I would like to return to Myanmar at some future stage and are interested to see other parts of the country but also to spend a little more time in Yangon which, as a SE Asian city, intrigued us. We are also interested to watch Myanmar over the next year particularly before and after the elections and both have several books we purchased on Myanmar culture/history and biographies to now read to further extend and enhance our understanding/knowledge of the country and its people.
We had a simply wonderful time.
My warm regards
Sue Mikkelsen from Australia
