ITINERARY
MANDALAY – BHAMO (6 Nights /7 Days)
Embark the Amara River Cruise at 08:00 am. We sail north of Mandalay along Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun with the Mingun Bell, weighing 90 tones and the biggest hanging undamaged bell in the world; Shin Phyume Pagoda, and the unfinished Mingun Pagoda, a colossal brick monument. After sightseeing set sail and cruise north the Ayarwaddy River till near His-the village. (Meals: L / D )
Day 2 His-the - Nwe Nyein – Kyar-Nyut
We leave Hsi-the at 06:00 am and sail this day till Kyar-Nyut. Visit to Nwe Nyein (Pottery Village). We will pass the Third Defile. Small villages along the river life from the trade of wood and fishing. Dinner and overnight onboard. (Meals: B / L / D )
Day 3 Kyar-Nyut –Htee -Gyaint – Kyauk-Maw
Set sail at 06:00 am. Our journey will continue upstream until Htee-Gyaint, one of the beautiful town. Excursion into Htee -Gyaint. Overnight and dinner on board the Amara just north of Kyauk-Maw (Meals: B / L / D) Day 4 Kyauk-Maw - Katha
Set sail at 06:00 am. This day we will reach till Katha, a beautiful town with a colorful market, friendly people and a unique atmosphere. Katha is known from the book “Burmese Days”, written by George Orwell. Dinner and overnight on board the Amara, moored near the harbor of Katha. (Meals: B / L / D)
Day 5 Katha – Min Chaung-Kone
In the morning after breakfast , sightseen to elephant camp by car where 12miles away from west of Katha Depart from Katha around Noon and sail this day till Min Chaung Kone village. This day is a good chance to see the famous Ayeyarwaddy Dolphin, quite common in this area (Meals: B / L / D)
Day 6 Min Chaung Kone –Shwegu-Bhamo
Set sail at 06:00 am. . Amara will stop at the opposite river bank of Shwegu near the pagodas of Shwe Baw Kyunn Thousands of pagodas can be found at this place, probably built around the 10th century. We will pass the Second Defile this day. At this place the river banks become a steep cliff. The scenery is amazing and offers a beautiful scenery. The Amara will arrive near Bhamo, the most northern place the Amara can reach. Overnight and dinner on board the Amara. (Meals: B / L / D)
Day 7 Bhamo
Disembark after breakfast. (Meals: B )
BHAMO – MANDALAY (6 Nights /7 Days)
Embark the Amara River Cruise 3:00 PM in the afternoon. Overnight near Sinn Khan (Meals: D )
Day 2 Sinn Khan – Shwegu -Katha
Set sail at 06:00 am. On the way, we will pass the beautiful Second Defile. The river banks become a steep cliff and the river bottom drops away to extreme depths. The river scene is amazing and offers beautiful scenery. In the Morning after breakfast, we arrive in Shwegu and visit the pagodas of Shwe Baw Kyunn on the opposite river bank of Shwegu,In the afternoon the Amara will reach Katha, a beautiful town with an interesting market, friendly people, and a unique atmosphere. Katha is known from the book “Burmese Days” written by George Orwell. Dinner and overnight on board the Amara. (Meals: B / L / D )
Day 3 Katha – Tagaung
Set sail at 06:00 am. Our journey will continue downstream until Tagaung, one of the oldest capitals of Myanmar. Proceed for sightseeing at Tagaung. Overnight and dinner on board the Amara just south of Tagaung. (Meals: B / L / D )
Day 4 Tagaung - Kyaukmyaung
Set sail at 06:00 am. We continued until Thabeikkyin. We will pass the Third Defile. This area is covered with dense teak forest. Sail downstream till Nwe Nyein (potery village) and sightseeing around New Nyein. Dinner and overnight on board. (Meals: B / L / D )
Day 5 Kyaukmyaung – Mingun
Set sail at 06:00 am down stream to Mingun and afternoon sightseeing Mingun Bell, weighing 90 tones and the biggest hanging undamaged bell in the world; Shin Phyume Pagoda, and the unfinished Mingun Pagoda, a colossal brick monument. Dinner and overnight on board the Amara near Mingun. (Meals: B / L / D )
Day 6 Mingun - Mandalay Jetty
Set sailing down to Mandalay. Disembark Mandalay Jetty at 08:00 am. (Meals: B )

Cancellation / Prepayment policy
For all departures, should the occupancy be minimum (3) cabins occupied. Amara Cruises reserve the right to cancel the cruise up to 60 days’ prior the departure date. A confirmation notice in writing will be released by Amara Cruises to all booked clients and/or their Travel Agents within 90 days before the departure date. In case of cancellation an alternative cruise will be offered and if not acceptable all down payments will be immediately refunded.For any cancellation, customer must notify the agent by email for any cancellations, amendments and they will be completed only after acknowledgement by email from us.
