ITINERARY

Day 1: Mandalay Arrival – Sagaing – Amarapura
You will be greeted by our guide at the Mandalay International Airport and start our sightseeing tour.
Known as the hub of Buddhism in Myanmar, Mandalay has realm of stupas, monks and monasteries. The most fascinating visit will be the time you witness monks during their worship and daily meals.
We first drive to Sagaing Hill where you will learn about the schooling of monks, visit Budda Cave, Uminthonze Pagoda, Sunooponnyashin Pagoda and finally take in the panoramic view of Mandalay.
Our next stop is Amarapura, famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery and the best place to experience the daily lives of the monks in Mandalay. Walk over Ubein Wooden Bridge, the longest teakwood of its type & enjoy great sunset view over the bridge.

Day 2: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay Hill
Embarking on a private boat upstream to visit Mingun, famed for its huge and incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell, the 90-ton ringing bell.
In the afternoon, visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery – noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, gold leaf beating workshop and Kuthodaw Pagoda – known for containing the world’s largest book and conclude the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city.

Day 3: Mandalay – Fly to Heho – Drive to Kalaw
Take the morning flight to Heho. Get picked up and take a nice drive to Pindaya through the picturesque countryside of Shan State. Visit Pindaya’s limestone cave with its maze of chambers displaying more than 8,000 Buddha statues and local handicraft workshops producing Shan paper made from mulberry bark and traditional umbrellas made from the same paper that are used by monks all around the country.
Late afternoon, drive to Kalaw. Located on the mild highland of Shan state, Kalaw exposes a green natural beauty, combining the exotic life of ethnic minorities and pine plantations. Take time to discover the town or relax in your comfortable hotel.

Day 4: Kalaw trekking
After breakfast, check out and start our three day trekking.
Notes: If you have heavy luggage, we can help to transfer to your resort by car/boat. You just bring necessary backpack & important/ valued belongings.
Start to trek through Lut Pin Village & Shar Pin Village. The first 2.5 hours passes through Shan scenery and Shar Pin and Lut Pin villages. There are plenty of chances to walk around and interact with the friendly locals as well as to observe their daily life which has remained unchanged over generations- relying on the land to live. They are happy and relatively carefree although their life is lacking in many of the amenities that urbanites take for granted.
Along trekking route, you will meet the hill tribe people of Danu, Taung Yoe, Intha and Pa-o.
Overnight in Lamaing Village.

Day 5: Kalaw trekking
Village – Paw Kei – Kone Hla – Pattu Pauk – Hti Thein.
The route is filled with the panoramic views of the Shan Mountain Range and surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty.
Accommodation: Local homestay/ monastery
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6: Kalaw – Indein – Inle Lake
The final day of trekking takes you to Inle Lake with ending trek point, In Dein Temples.
The beautiful temple of Indein locates on the hill overlooking the lake. It will be definitely relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left to the nature for centuries
Our boat is awaits for you to take you to your resort for check in.
Rest of the time is free at rest, enjoy fresh air, blue sky and later, the sunset on the Inle Lake.

Day 7: Inle Lake discovery
Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, is located 900 meters above sea level. The lake is home to the Intha People, a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group, known for their one leg rowing techniques.
This morning, you will visit the 5-Day Market, which is held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is definitely a fascinating place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere. Our next visit is Ngaphechaung Monastery, once known as “jumping cat” pagoda. As you travel further into Nam Pan village cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life.

Day 8: Heho – Fly to Yangon – City tour
Depart Inle Lake for Yangon in the morning.
Spend a full day exploring Yangon and its highlights from Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city to Chaukhtayi Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake.
At sunset, discover the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must see while you are in Myanmar.
Your highlight for this evening is dinner in Karaweik Palace, overlooking to the Royal Lake and Shwedagon Tower. A meal of fine Burmese food will be served followed by a beautiful cultural show of music and dancing.

Meals: Breakfast, Farewell dinner
Day 9: Yangon Departure
After breakfast, you are free until your departure time. Our driver will take you to Yangon International Airport for your flight home.
