Known as the hub of Buddhism in Myanmar, Mandalay has realm of stupas, monks and monasteries. The most fascinating visit will be the time you witness monks during their worship and daily meals.
You will be greeted by our guide at the Mandalay International Airport and transferred you to your hotel. Visit Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, gold leaf beating workshop and Kuthodaw Pagoda - known for containing the world’s largest book and concludes the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city.

Day 2: Amarapura – Sagaing – Inwa
In the morning, drive to Amarapura. Being famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery Amarapura is the best place to experience the monk life in Mandalay. Every day at mid-morning, monks and novices line up silently to receive their daily offering of alms and food from faithful Buddhists.
Next, head to Sagaing, discover the monk education, visit Budda cave, Uminthonze pagoda and Sunooponnyashin pagoda. Behold the panoramic view of Mandalay.
We then cross the river by ferry to Inwa (Ava), situated on the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Once a royal capital, Inwa is now a quiet rural oasis. Enjoy a horse cart ride around the peaceful countryside, visiting Bagaya Kyaung, a beautiful teak wood monastery, Maha Aungmyay Bonzan Kyaung, and Nan Myint tower.
End of the day, walk over Ubein Wooden Bridge, the longest teakwood of its type & enjoy great sunset view here.

Day 3: Mandalay – Day boat to Bagan
Take the day cruise downstream the Ayeyarwaddy River which offers the variations of the scenes of villages, the towers of pagodas here & there, local people making their livings…
The cruise is scheduled for 11 – 12 hours, starting at 06:00am and arrive in Bagan at 05:00pm. Upon arrival in Bagan, our driver & tour guide are await to pick you up to transfer to your hotel. Rest of the time is at leisure.

Day 4: Bagan Sightseeing
Bagan is Myanmar’s archaeological wonderland, where over 3,000 ancient temples blossom from the countryside. Start your tour with a trip to the bustling Nyang U Market in Old Bagan then explore the beautiful, gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda and learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions. We continue our tour with a visit to Ananda Temple, stopping along the way on the Bagan plains to admire some of the surrounding temples. In the afternoon, take a tour of a local lacquer ware workshop and learn how this traditional piece of art is made.

Day 5: Bagan Discovery
After breakfast, start with an exotic horse cart ride to one of the biggest temples in Bagan: Nan Paya Pagoda and many other interesting sites nearby, continue with sightseeing to Minkaba Gubyaukyi Temple, take note of the architectural difference in MyaZedi Pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple. The highlight of today is the panoramic sunset view from the second highest pagoda of Bagan, the ShweSandaw Pagoda.

Day 6: Bagan - Fly to Heho - Inle Lake sightseeing
Leave Naung U for the flight to Heho. Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, is located 900 meters above sea level. The lake is home to the Intha People, a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group, known for their one leg rowing techniques. Upon arrival, board a motorboat for sightseeing to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and also believed to be the holiest in Inle Lake. Our next visit is Ngaphechaung Monastery, once known as “jumping cat” pagoda. As you travel further into Nam Pan village cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life.

Day 7: Inle Lake – Indein
This morning, you will visit the 5-Day Market, which is held in different villages surrounding the lake. This is definitely a fascinating place to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere. The boat will then take you to beautiful temple of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will certainly be relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left nature for centuries.
Back to your hotel midafternoon and free for the rest of the day.

Day 8: Inle Lake – fly to Yangon & city tour
Leave Inle Lake for morning flight to Yangon. Get picked up on arrival and spend guided city tour exploring Yangon and its highlights from Sule Pagoda, in the heart of Yangon city; bustling China Town, Bogyoke Market and the most outstanding pagoda in Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda. The “Golden Pagoda” is really a must see while you are in Myanmar.
Highlight for this evening is dinner in Karaweik Palace, overlooking to the Royal Lake. A meal of fine Burmese food will be served followed by a beautiful cultural show of music and dancing.

Day 9: Yangon Departure
After breakfast, you are free until your departure time. Our driver will take you to Yangon International Airport for your flight home.
