Day 1: Mandalay – Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin. Sightseeing full day
In the morning, drive to the former British hill station of Maymyo, now officially called Pyin Oo Lwin.  The town is located on a plateau 1000m above sea level and renowned for its cooler temperatures and lush foliage. We visit major attraction of this hill station: Kandawgyi National Garden and Pwe Kauk Water Fall.
The town of Pyin Oo Lwin reflects perfectly the charm of British colonial architecture, housing and gardening style. We will enjoy the time here strolling through lush flower plantation and discover the highlight of ancient colonial houses. Check in hotel in Pyin Oo Lwin in late afternoon.

Day 2: Pyin Oo Lwin – Train to Hsipaw
Our driver and guide will take you to railway station. Say goodbye to our driver and guide and board the 8:22am morning train to Nawngpeng through Gokteik. This train used to be an infamous black–market train transporting goods to and from China. As you travel past pretty hills and scenery the train will also cross the famous 700 meter long Gokteik Viaduct, built in 1900 by the American Pennsylvania Steel Co. The impressive height from the bridge to the bottom of the valley is nearly 300 meters. After crossing the bridge the train will stop at a small station and you will get the chance to have a better look at the bridge. The train continues to Hsipaw where you will meet our representative and transferred by tuk tuk to your hotel. Check in hotel there and free for the rest of the day.

Day 3: Hsipaw – Waterfall & Shan Village
Meet up with local guide and start the day exploring Hsipaw. Walk through the rice field, splendid view of ancient pagoda and Shan Royal Tomb can be seen from the rice field, the lime stone cave is aside the fall.
Afterward, turn to farmer’s villages with the panoramic scenery of paddies, seasonal crops, mountain, river, living style of SHAN villages and housewife’s home business such as hand fan, basket with weaving bamboo, cheroot rolling.
Return to Hsipaw Town.

Day 4: Hsipaw – Light trek & boat trip
Take soft trekking for couple of hours through rice paddies, hill tribe villages then get on boat from one of the river side village back all the way to town & enjoy beautiful sightseeing of the Dotthawaddy river.
Meals: Breakfast, simple lunch
Accommodation: Hotel in Hsipaw
Day 5: Hsipaw - drive back to Mandalay.
The driver pick up at hotel and we return to Mandalay.

Are the rates displayed per person or per room?

- The prices shown on our website are per person based on twin/ double accommodation.

- We only run private tour, so the itineraries are very flexible.
